Privacy policy

Last updated: September 2026

This policy explains what personal data NÓMADE collects through this site, why it uses it, who it shares it with and how you can exercise your rights under Argentina's Personal Data Protection Law (Ley 25.326).

I.Data controller

The controller of your data is NÓMADE — Workshop intensivo de Cine Independiente, Mendoza, Argentina. For any question about your data, write to us through the contact form.

II.What data we collect

Interest list: full name, email, country and city, the roles you choose (up to two), experience level and, if you add them, links to your work and a message. We also store the language of the form, the date and your acceptance of the terms.

Contact form: name, email, subject, message and language.

Technical data: to stop spam and abusive submissions, we store with each form an irreversible code (a hash) generated from your IP address. We don't store the IP address itself. Our hosting provider may process the IP address and technical data of each visit to run and protect the site.

Earlier applications: the application form is paused until applications open in January 2027. If you applied before, we keep that data for the periods set out below, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.

We don't ask for health data or payment details.

III.What we use it for

  • Letting you know when the NÓMADE call for applications opens.
  • Understanding, in aggregate, which roles and profiles are interested, to prepare the call.
  • Replying to the messages you send us.
  • Stopping spam and abuse of the site.
  • Meeting legal obligations.

We don't sell or rent your data, we don't use it for advertising and we don't add you to other mailing lists. We don't make decisions about you by automated means.

IV.Legal basis

We process your data with your consent, which you give when you submit each form (Article 5 of Ley 25.326). You can withdraw it at any time by asking to be removed: we stop writing to you and delete your data.

V.Who we share it with

Your data is only accessed by the people who run NÓMADE and by the providers we need to run the site, who process it on our behalf:

  • Vercel Inc. (United States): hosts the site; forms are processed in its São Paulo, Brazil region.
  • Supabase Inc. (United States): the database where we store the interest list, messages and earlier applications, on servers located in São Paulo, Brazil.
  • Resend (United States): sends the automatic confirmation emails and the internal notices to our team about each new sign-up or message (these include the form data), when that feature is enabled.

We may also share data when a competent authority requires it under the law.

VI.International transfers

Because these providers are outside Argentina, your data is stored and processed in Brazil and may be processed in the United States. By submitting a form you give your explicit consent to this international transfer. We work with providers that apply security measures and contractual data protection commitments.

VII.How long we keep it

  • Interest list: up to 24 months from when you join, or until you ask to be removed or to have your data deleted, whichever comes first.
  • Earlier applications: up to 24 months from when they were sent, or until you ask us to delete them.
  • Contact form messages: 12 months, or until you ask us to delete them.
  • The IP hash is kept with the form it belongs to and deleted with it.

VIII.How we protect it

The site uses encrypted connections (HTTPS), the database is not publicly accessible and internal access is limited to those who need it. No measure is infallible: if we detect an incident affecting your data, we'll let you know.

IX.Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, update or delete your data, and withdraw your consent. Write to us through the contact form with the subject “Personal data” and include the email address you signed up or wrote to us with; if needed, we'll ask you to confirm your identity.

  • Access: we reply within 10 calendar days (Article 14 of Ley 25.326).
  • Correction, update or deletion: we resolve it within 5 business days (Article 16 of Ley 25.326).

X.Supervisory authority

The data subject has the right to access their personal data free of charge at intervals of no less than six months, unless a legitimate interest is shown, as provided in Article 14(3) of Law No. 25,326.

The Agencia de Acceso a la Información Pública (Agency for Access to Public Information), as the supervisory authority for Law No. 25,326, has the power to handle complaints and claims filed by anyone whose rights are affected by non-compliance with personal data protection rules.

XI.Cookies

The site doesn't use third-party tracking, advertising or analytics cookies. It may only use technical cookies that are essential for it to work and stay secure.

XII.Minors

The interest list is for people aged 18 or over. We don't knowingly collect data from minors; if we receive data from someone under 18, we delete it.

XIII.Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll publish the new version on this page with its date. If the change is significant and we have your data, we'll let you know by email.
