Terms and conditions

Last updated: September 2026

NÓMADE is an intensive independent film workshop held in Mendoza, Argentina, from 1 to 15 November 2027. Applications open in January 2027: until then, nothing is charged. These terms govern the use of this site and of the interest list: by joining the list you accept these terms and the Privacy Policy.

I.Who runs it

It is run by Juan Francisco Montes, Nico Nuñez and Emilios Goutas under the name NÓMADE — Workshop intensivo de Cine Independiente, Mendoza, Argentina (“NÓMADE”).

The official channel for questions, complaints and any request related to these terms is the contact form. We reply to the email address you give us.

Before charging any amount, we'll publish the legal name, tax ID (CUIT) and address of the entity that runs and invoices the workshop.

II.The workshop

From Monday 1 to Monday 15 November 2027, in Mendoza: six short films in any genre, each up to 15 minutes long, made by six teams of five participants (thirty in total), supported by the workshop's technical crew and by mentors and guest professionals, with casting and location scouting. A month earlier, in October 2027, there is a virtual pre-production stage of four sessions. The winning short receives a distribution award from the distributor ANIOLUZ.

The published schedule is subject to change and the location itinerary is an illustrative draft. Still to be confirmed: scholarships and volunteering, the specific accommodation (lodging is included in the price) and the names of the mentors and guest professionals.

III.Price

The price is USD 5,000 (five thousand US dollars) per participant, all inclusive: lodging, meals, transport, production costs and actors' fees, filming permits, insurance, legal, and professional film equipment and gear.

It doesn't include travel to Mendoza or personal expenses.

Payment options and deadlines will be published with the call for applications. Nothing is charged today: enrolment and payment only happen once applications open, through the channels and on the terms published then.

IV.The interest list

Joining is free and only means we'll let you know when applications open. It isn't an application, it doesn't reserve a place and it doesn't give you priority in the selection.

The list creates no obligations for either party: you don't have to apply or pay anything, and joining it doesn't oblige NÓMADE to accept you onto the workshop.

The details you give us must be true and your own. You can ask to be removed at any time through the contact form.

V.Call for applications and final terms

When applications open in January 2027, we'll publish the guidelines: requirements, selection by role (each participant can choose up to two), deadlines, payment options, cancellations and refunds, conduct and rights to the work. You accept those terms separately when you apply and, for everything they cover, they replace these terms.

VI.Principles

These are the principles that guide the final terms:

  • Respectful, professional treatment of everyone, and zero tolerance for harassment, discrimination and violence.
  • Informed consent: every identifiable person who appears in a piece must authorize the use of their image and voice.
  • Respect for communities and places, with filming permits arranged before shooting.
  • Safety first: the workshop crew's safety instructions are mandatory.
  • Clear credits for the people who make each piece. Ownership of the rights will be set out in the terms of the call for applications.

VII.Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; the date of the last update is shown at the top of this page. If the change is significant and you're on the interest list, we'll let you know by email.

VIII.Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of the Argentine Republic. Any dispute will be resolved by the ordinary courts of the City of Mendoza.

If you are a consumer, nothing here limits your rights under Argentina's Consumer Protection Law (Ley 24.240), including the right to file a claim with the consumer protection authority and before the courts of your place of residence.
